To step into the School of Medical Sciences in its 50th year is to walk into a living legacy.
We are HB1, the Golden Jubilee Class, about 281 individuals drawn from different places, cultures, and even countries united by one calling: to be formed into doctors, leaders, and healers.
In just a short time, this noble institution has given us more than knowledge. It has given us community, discipline, and vision. From anatomy to psychology, from the sciences to the arts, from sign language to social activities, every aspect of our training so far has shaped us not only as students, but as people. We take pictures, we help plant trees, we socialize, and we even get the opportunity to have senior lecturers who share both wisdom and experience talk to us. This is training that tests our resilience yet sharpens our compassion and prepares us for the road ahead.
As we look to the future, we see the school growing even stronger, equipped with greater resources, broader infrastructure, and an ever-deepening impact. We dream of returning in another 50 years, not as students, but as accomplished alumni, carrying forward the torch of excellence and service.
To the School of Medical Sciences, we say thank you. Thank you for 50 years of vision. Thank you for opening doors to all, both local and international. Thank you for teaching us with diligence, depth, and empathy. Thank you for welcoming us into this story. We, HB1, promise to honor this gift and to join in building the next 50 years of excellence.
Congratulations, School of Medical Sciences on 50 years of excellence. Long live SMS, and may God bless this great school. May He see us all through to the next 50 years, stronger, greater, and ever more impactful.
